Yoga Nidra: Cultivating Ease

with Joy Kirstin
Saturday, July 12, 2014
1:00 - 3:30 pm

At Radiance, 9 W Grant St., in the heart of downtown Lancaster, PA

Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) helps us release learned patterns of anxiety and striving, and assists the nervous system in relaxing deeply so we can connect with what truly nourishes us and our aspirations.  Rooted in ancient yoga practices, this guided meditation is experienced while lying down, and has been clinically proven to assist with insomnia, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and PTSD. It facilitates entry into a deeply peaceful state, can be a wonderful introduction to meditation, and helps us live more fully and joyfully in every moment.  Practitioners can continue to reap the benefits at home using a CD recording.

Everyone welcome, no movement required.  Bring pillows and blankets, even a camping mattress if you have one, drinking water, and a journal or notebook for post-practice meditative writing time.  Learn how Yoga Nidra can help create a strong foundation for fulfilling goals, experience a one-hour practice, and spend some quiet time afterwards in silent meditation or writing.
Cost for this workshop is $35.00.  To register, call Radiance at 717-290-1517, or stop in.  Joy’s CD is available for sale at Radiance.
