Summer Fun
Kundalini YogaWorkshop
With Padmani Kaur
Saturday, July 16, 2011
Noon-4pm
This is the last in a series of four workshops in Kundalini Yoga, which have centered around the shift of the seasons, and their relationship to the yogic philosophy and cycles of life.
Summer is often understood to be the time of fullness and “prime”, the ages of 20-40. Experience the vibrant energy of summer sunshine and participate in a Kundalini workshop of creative activity.
We will practice asana, meditation, relaxation and mantra in combination to engage the mind, body and spirit to explore the exciting energy of this time of our lives, whether you are in this cycle or not. There will be Bangra (an Indian style of dance) and a light lunch included in the festivities.
Padmani Kaur (Christine Cappabianca) will lead us on this joyful journey, which will include a Kundalini Yoga class, lecture/discussion, recipes, meditation and a vegetarian lunch!
Bring to class: a natural fiber blanket or towel and/or a yoga mat, a pillow if it will help you to sit more comfortably on the wooden floor. Dress in loose, comfortable layers.
