Nature Spirituality
with geologist, naturalist and author, Adam Davis
Saturday, April 4, 2015 1-4pm at Radiance
Join us as we explore diverse ways of working with nature. Through discussion and experiential exercises we have opportunities to deepen our land connection. We will discuss ways of sharpening our senses and expanding our nature awareness, and then work with aspects of nature for healing and inspiration through shamanic journey and a healing ceremony.
This workshop will be held in the classroom at Radiance.  Adam is also offering two outdoor experiences the next day, one in Lancaster and one in Harrisburg.  The Sunday workshops are designed to deepen your experience and allow you to use many of the techniques and ideas connecting with land and trees.
The cost for this Saturday workshop at Radiance is $25, as are each of Sunday’s outdoor workshops. The price for attending more than one of the workshops is $30.  To register, call Radiance 717-290-1517, or stop in.
Adam Davis has been facilitating spiritually-oriented connecting with the land workshops at healthy-living fairs, environmental conferences, and other community events since 1998 in addition to teaching about the workings of the Earth in the college classroom. He enjoys combining multiple perspectives to explore integrated, holistic ways of working with nature. His book “Connecting with the Land: Nature Relationships in Multiple Dimensions” describes techniques used in past workshops and that have come to Adam through diverse additional pathways of exploration. Adam’s web site is http://www.landsolution.com/
The Sunday workshops are each 2 hours, the Lancaster class beginning at 10am, and the Harrisburg class at 3pm. Directions to specific locations will be given at the Saturday workshop at Radiance.
Connecting with the Land
This outdoor workshop in Lancaster provides opportunities to work with various observational and shamanic techniques and explore the energies of a sacred place in the landscape.
Conversations with Trees
Will be held in Harrisburg and is an excellent time and place to meet and greet various tree species and discover their magic. We will explore physical identifying characteristics of tree species as well as ways to energetically engage with individual trees.

Sitting Meditation with John Terlazzo

Sitting Meditation with John Terlazzo
Thursdays, 1/22 thru 2/12/15 and
Thursdays, 3/5 thru 3/26/15
at Radiance 1:30 – 3pm

People in the West often talk about the health benefits of Sitting Meditation – balanced blood pressure, an improved immune system, better digestion, a calmer demeanor, more restful sleep & so on. This is all good – but these are not the reasons why we “Sit”. Rather they are coincidental side effects of an ancient practice that is far deeper than mere physical & mental health improvements.
Sitting Meditation brings us into a daily, still intimacy with our True Nature - with God, Truth, the Essence – not someone’s “idea” or “concept” of these, but with That which is beyond all structures, concepts & dogmas.
Classes will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St., across the cobblestones from Lancaster’s Central Market, in the heart of downtown Lancaster.  To register, stop in or phone Radiance at 717-290-1517.
Cost is on a sliding scale of $55-40 for each four week series, or $15-12 per class.
All serious, committed persons – regardless of philosophy, religion, creed or absence thereof – are welcome.  Bring a meditation cushion if you have one.  Chairs are available for those who require them.

John Terlazzo is a poet / painter/ singer-songwriter and storyteller who has been practicing Sitting Meditation since his initiation in 1972.  John says, “I have been practicing daily Sitting Meditation for 42 years now, a deep work with the breath. I don't pretend to be anyone’s guru or great teacher, but - after consistently doing this work for this long, I can be helpful in assisting those who sincerely wish to pursue the practice.”
