Our first shipment of We'Moons arrived today!  How can I keep myself from sitting down to read one right this minute? You probably ought to come in to Radiance & get yours right away.

For so many women, the We'Moon is a must-have.  Even if we keep our schedules in our phones, we can't imagine a year without We'Moon.  Filled with art and writings from women all over the world, each one is more exquisite than the last.  It's one of the few items I save. Forever.

Our dear friend Tasha Goldberg, who lives in Hawaii, is in town for a short time and while she is here will be offering readings at Radiance. 

The beautiful images from the Motherpeace Tarot cards articulate the rhythms, patterns and poetics of the elements we all reside in. Each card draws from universal truths as seen in various carvings, drawings and sculptures through a global kaleidoscope of art and culture. Within the narrow palette of earth, air, fire and water … a poetry emerges, braiding together different ways of knowing. 

Through the lace of human consciousness and expression of the poetics of nature, we are able to provide a platform for empowerment. Knowledge of self is a foundation for respect and flow. Stay tuned, keep your vibrations steady and high so you can be the embodiment of what you believe is possible. The seed of observation provides a platform for empowered choices. 

If you are seeking a reflective moment, if you are embracing new truths, if you are being challenged…here is an invitation for you. The Tarot sessions provide space to reflect and welcome in daily rituals. Each session provides insights to support one on the path of happy humanhood. All sessions can be recorded and result in the creation of a ritual and practice to take home to embody new understandings.

Readings will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, in the heart of downtown Lancaster.  Call 717-290-1517 for an appointment, or take your chances and drop in!  Cost of a reading is on a sliding scale. A 1- hour reading is $45-60, and a 1.5-hour reading is $60-75. 

A little about Tasha…

Reading the Motherpeace Tarot cards has been part of my journey since I first become a woman, a gift given to me from my mother. I have used these cards in my own meditations for years, studying the art and culture that inspired the symbols and images. As a consultant of ethnobotany, a cultural practitioner and a reporter for the United Nations, I have been fortunate to travel the world. I founded Sustainable Solutions in 2004 with the goal of implementing strategic sustainability programs globally and maintaining an active voice in the ongoing planetary dialogue of sustainable development. Through my world travels and engagement with communities, governments, businesses, scientists, elders and artists, I have begun to archive the connections that exist through the Building Bridges programs, focusing on the art of storytelling to bind together truth across borders. Each and every experience I have had has deepened my appreciation of the Motherpeace Tarot by broadening my sensual awareness of the world around me and within me. I have read cards for children, elders, celebrities, scientists, friends, family and strangers. I continue to return to the Motherpeace deck daily.

In the fairy tales, a child wanders in a forest, sometimes full of wonder, following a bright trail of flowers or butterflies; sometimes lost and frightened in the tangles and the darkness.   Using the imagery of the tarot for signposts, along her own intuition, Beth will help you to look at the pathways of your own journey through the forest of your life, whether you feel like you're on a bright trail or caught in a bog. She will help you harness your own intuition, to gain a wider perspective, to seek your guides, to look for crumbs and shiny stones that might show you which direction leads you to your true center.

In a consultation, you will look for synchronicities in your life, those magical coincidences that the Universe seems to create just to wake you up. You will look for messages from animal totems, spirit guides, angels, ancestors, and Goddess or God. You will keep open to dreams and omens and messages and what your own body tells you about who you are.

The goal of a consultation is not to know what the future holds, but to place yourself at the center of your story, following your destiny rather than being a victim of fate. To make empowered decisions. To align yourself with your true purpose. To tap into your knowledge of your Deep Self. To wake up into your story and to engage with it.

Come in for a check-in, or bring a question or personal muddle. Or schedule an apprenticeship hour and Beth will give you a lesson in reading the tarot.  A reading will not tell you what to do or who to be. It can only point the way, offer comfort and guidance, images to grasp like lanterns in the darkness.  Tarot work is spirit play. Tarot consultations are not an alternative to therapy or medical intervention in mental health issues. This is not meant to replace the work that you may do with a certified professional.

Beth has been studying and practicing tarot for the past nineteen years.  She enjoys using divination as a tool for personal transformation and spiritual development, and as a way to become attuned to the cycles of the natural world.  Along with Sarah, she also teaches occasional courses in the Reclaiming Tradition: The Elements of Magic and Rites of Passage.

Many children are quite sensitive to the energies that surround us, and to the feelings of other beings, but don’t have a language for their experiences.  Reiki can give them a way to understand what they are sensing, and a structure within which to develop their gifts.  

Reiki I for Kids is a workshop where children ages 8 to 13 learn simple methods of using Reiki.  This course is designed to be fun and interesting.  Children have a natural awareness of healing energy and the class offers a supportive atmosphere for them to explore their innate abilities.

In this workshop, the children will receive their Reiki I Attunement.  A Reiki Kids Certificate will be sent in the mail after completion of the class.  They will also participate in and learn about the following:

·        Sensing the Energy Field

·        Healing with Plants, Animals and People

·        Reiki Art and Creative Expression

John Protopapas in Concert!

A Concert for Nepal
John Protopapas
an intimate concert of Classical Indian music…

Friday, May 15th at 7pm .

Radiance, 9 West Grant St., Lancaster, PA.  

Suggested donation $5 - $20 per person

After we had scheduled this concert, Nepal suffered a devastating earthquake.  John asked that the concert become a fundraiser, and we at Radiance agreed.  Many of the fair-trade items that we offer through our shop come from Nepal, Tibet and northern India.  And now a second earthquake has occurred.  Our hearts are breaking.  All proceeds from this concert will go to relief efforts in the areas affected by the earthquakes.
