Sacred Pouch-Making Workshop
Saturday, January 22, 2011, 2-6pm

Many traditions use the practice of carrying a small pouch or bag with special objects in it for protecting or guiding the practitioner. In this workshop you will create a pouch made of elk leather and other materials for your personal "medicine" or specific empowering objects. There will be a few designs to choose from. Participants will take two short journeys to find guides to help with this process.

A sacred pouch is a womb; a place to keep things safe, nurture an intention into being, carry the herbs, stones or other things you need to keep close to you.

Cost: $45.00 plus a material fee of $15.00

Notebook, Something to lay on for two short journeys, willow leaves or bark for offering.



Creating a Sacred Knife

Saturday, January 29, 2011, 2-6pm

In many traditions the sacred knife is associated with symbols of creativity, discernment, ideas, clarity and used as the tool for cutting away the illusions that keep us from attaining these qualities. In this workshop participants will create a scared knife out of either stone or steel and learn some of the uses for this sacred tool.

Cost: $45.00 plus a material fee of $20.00 for a stone blade or $35.00 for a steel blade.

Wand-Making Workshop

Saturday, February 26, 2011, 2-6pm

In the western spiritual tradition the wand is the physical and symbolic representation of the human will. It is the tool of manifestation. The element most associated with it is "fire" and its center in the body is the solar plexus. In this workshop participants will learn how to make a wand out of wood and various other materials. You will also learn about different woods, metals and symbols that you can incorporate into your wand to make it an affective tools for manifesting, healing, and transforming all manner of things. With all magical and spiritual tools, you will also learn traditional and contemporary ways to use and work with your wand.

Cost: $45.00 plus a $15.00 material fee

What to bring:

Notebook, Something to lay on for two short journeys, 1/2 yard of silk(any color) to wrap your finished wand in, and copal for offering.
