Want all
the benefits of meditation? Have trouble stilling your body? Or quieting your
mind?
Shiva Nata is a moving meditation practice that uses simple, gentle spirals of the arms and legs to quickly and efficiently deliver a delicious state of flow. It only takes 5 minutes a day to improve your mood, gain greater mental clarity and focus, spark creative new ideas, all while strengthening your arms, shoulders, and back - which is so important in this era of keyboards.
This two-hour introductory workshop will provide a solid foundation in the basic principles and practice of Dance of Shiva. Participants will learn enough to start a daily practice and soon be reaping the benefits of happy newborn brain cells. It's perfect for writers, artists, dancers, yoga practitioners, athletic coaches, life coaches - or anyone who wants juicy insights and laser focus.
The practice is easily adapted for those with limited physical abilities or chronic illnesses - as it can be done with little to no movement. Everyone is welcome - no yoga or meditation experience necessary!
This workshop is hosted by Radiance, an inspiring space in downtown Lancaster.

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the
1970s, Kalyani Glass was immersed in a culture of spiritual and health
consciousness. Among the many influences on her upbringing, one of the most
prominent was Hinduism. After many years as a witch and student of homeopathy,
Shiva Nata has been like coming home. Practicing with the DVD at home since March 2010, it has provided her with improved focus, stronger
shoulders, and a renewed zest for life. In January 2012, she studied with
Andrey Lappa and he certified her as a Level 1 Dance of Shiva Teacher.
