Practitioner Training for Sacred Childbirth with Reiki

Radiance is thrilled to be hosting Cori Nielsen for a Practitioner Training weekend at the end of March.  The training is open to Reiki Practitioners of Level II or higher.
7 pm Friday - 3 pm Sunday Mar. 30 - April 1, 2011

Practitioner Training

This profound training is life-transforming. We gather in a circle to first evening to pass the talking stick as we introduce ourselves, to state our intent, and to hold profoundly sacred, safe Reiki space for each other as we share our stories of birth, miscarriage, adoption, infertility, and the myriad of other ways that we have been wounded in our sexuality. This intimate, nurturing space is held throughout the next two days as students experience the Sacred Childbirth with Reiki process. They are taught how to use this process to assist their partner in releasing their bodies’ negative feelings and memories about birth. They learn how to guide their class partner to re-experience and clear all negativity from their own birth. This clearing creates a clean palate or blank slate for them to create new, positive, vibrantly peaceful pathways for the birthing energy to flow as they practice how to birth their “dream” baby.
Each student experiences the process two to three times both as the receiver and the giver. Not only does this create in the practitioner a clear palate to be able to hold a neutral space for their clients, it also allows them to encode at a cellular level a peaceful, sacred, joyous way to birth their dreams.
Life-transforming, empowering Reiki sessions, an instructional manual, specific tools to work with clients, discussion, sharing, integration time, and deep heart connections in a calm, peaceful, sacred space make this week-end an invaluable experience.

Psyche's Journey: Ritual Priestessing Skills Workshop

We will be exploring the myth of Psyche, focusing on the challenges of her initiatory journey, developing trance techniques and diverse ritual structures to experience this story as we reclaim our own divine selves. 

This workshop is an opportunity to build on the trance and story techniques taught in a Reclaiming Rites of Passage class, but this is not a prerequisite for participation.  Participants should have taken an Elements of Magic or have equivalent experience with basic pagan circle casting/elements understanding.  If you are unsure about your experience, call Sarah at Radiance.

Please review the myth of Psyche and Cupid (Hamilton’s Mythology or similar collection is fine), as we will not be working with the entire arch of the story.  Please attend both sessions, and there will be some personal work between dates.

REIKI LEVEL I CLASS

Reiki is a simple, beautiful form of energy work that allows us to utilize the natural inclination of the Universe toward healing.  The gentle, hands-on technique can be learned in one day, and you will be able to give Reiki to yourself and others after this class.  Reiki is deeply relaxing, helps to alleviate stress, and restores vital energy allowing the body to move toward wellness.

Experience the healing energy of Reiki in this class being taught by consulting herbalist, energy worker and Reiki Master & Teacher, Sarah Preston Campbell.  You will:

• Learn the modern history of Reiki
• Hear a brief introduction to the three levels, or degrees, of Reiki
• Receive the Attunement to the first degree of Reiki
• Practice giving Reiki to yourself and others
• Receive a Reiki I Certificate, after completion of this class

Two Appointments Available This Afternoon With Dan Furst

We are truly enjoying hosting Dan Furst at Radiance this week!

On Tuesday evening he gave a fascinating talk about his new book, Surfing Aquarius. Yesterday (Wednesday) he had a full schedule of appointments for readings - birth chart astrology, astro-cartography and tarot.

Extra Kundalini Yoga Class Tomorrow!

You may be aware that Dan Furst, international astrologer, is in residence at Radiance this week.  He had appointments all day today, and decided that he'd like to take Padmani's yoga class at 5:30.  He loved it so much that he asked if she would be willing to teach another class tomorrow, so...

There will be an extra Kundalini yoga class this week.  Tomorrow, Thursday at 5:30pm.  Come and join Dan and Padmani for yoga.  $12 for the class, or you can use your class-card if you have one.

Sacred Rattle-making with Adhi Two Owls

 Sacred Rattle-making with Adhi Moonien Two Owls

Saturdays, December 3 and 10, 2011 from 2 to 6pm, at Radiance in Lancaster

In this two-part workshop participants will learn how to make a rawhide rattle from beginning to end. This workshop is for those who want to develop deeper shamanic skills and knowledge.

The first day of the workshop will cover instruction on the parts of the rattle, the materials used to create the bulb, sewing and creating of your rawhide form.  We will take several shamanic journeys to find guidance about our personal rattles.  This first portion of the rattle needs to dry so.  During the week between classes, you will find your handle and materials to put in it.

When we meet again for the second day of the workshop, we will work on the actual assemblage of these parts into a working rattle. During this section of the workshop we will dedicate the rattle for its purpose, fill it, and attach the handle. 

Also covered in the workshop will be ways to work with your rattle and techniques for the care of your rattle.

All the materials will be provided except the handle and whatever you will put inside your rattle.

Adhi has been studying the rattle as a tool for transformation for almost 20 years.  She draws from many different teachers and their wisdom.  Adhi is an accomplished artist, energy worker, Radiesthesiologist (vibrational dowser), and researcher. Her primary area of study is sacred objects, ritual items, magical tools and the temple sciences that guide them. She has spent that last 2 decades understanding deeper patterns and energies that make them work. Adhi's formal training is from the Kansas City Art Institute. Other training is in Bio-geometry, Reiki, Shamanism, Buddhism, and advanced energy sciences. Adhi travels and teaches all over the world.

Filthy Farmgirl Soaps

 Several months ago I was gifted with a bar of soap.  Well, not just any bar of soap... this exquisite, all-natural (mostly organic) soap is also beautiful.  This soap has pieces of herbs, spices & pine needles right in it.  And it smells wonderful - all pure essential oils.

 And as I learned later, their slogan is "No yucky stuff".  I loved it.  But, I thought to myself, we already carry some wonderful, all-natural, locally-made soap at Radiance, so this is amazing, but I don't really need any more soap....

 And, yet...

The more I used it, the more I loved it, so I decided that we should carry both lines of soap.  So anyway, we just got a shipment of Filthy Farmgirl Soaps from Hawaii.  These soaps are gorgeous, exquisitely scented, and the labels are even fun to read!   So, next time you come into Radiance, be sure to look at them, and read all of the labels - really, they are hysterical!  Or, if you aren't local, you can find them on my web site.

Meditation for Courage in Kundalini Yoga Classes During the Month of November

For the past few months, Padmani has been ending each class at Radiance with a meditation specifically chosen for the month.  It gives us the opportunity to really deeply learn each meditation, and to allow the richness to emerge over time We practice the meditation and its corresponding posture for 11 minutes.

For the month of November, we will work with a Meditation for Courage. This meditation will be done in Archer posture.

Tarot Readings with Beth!

Using the imagery of the Tarot, Beth helps you explore the issues of your life, looking for syncronicities and seeking clarity for how to make strong choices for your future.  Rather than looking at the Tarot as deterministic of a future set in stone, Beth sees the images as pointing to patterns that can be changed and rewoven.  Unpacking the meaning of a reading helps you to focus on the potential choices that you can make to change unhelpful patterns of behaving and thinking or to affirm positive patterns.
