Massage at Radiance

Here at Radiance, we offer several styles of therapeutic massage and energy healing. Kara, a 1999 graduate from the prestigous Baltimore School of Massage, has developed a massage that combines Swedish & Deep Tissue massage, and sometimes a bit of Reflexology. Reflexology sessions are aso available. She also offers Warm Stone massage (heavenly, especially during the cold weather!), and Tradisional Thai massage. The Thai massage is almost like assisted yoga stretching, and is done on a thick floor mat, wearing yoga clothing. Ear Candling is another service that Kara offers. Kara and Sarah both are trained Reiki practitioners and offer Reiki sessions and Chakra Clearings, which utilize Reiki, other energy techniques and healing stones.

Herb Classes at Radiance!

We'll try to keep this list updated, so check back often!

All Hallows Eve
A discussion of some witching herbs used through time, some talk of traditions and we’ll create hags tapers. We’ll have a meditation on our loved ones who have passed before us. Attendees wear black, please. Join Sarah Campbell, Jen Frey, and Tina Sams for this special evening. $25 per person.
Tues., October 30 from 6 – 8 p.m.

Herb Beadmaking
Spend an hour creating beautiful, fragrant, and long-lasting beads from herbs with Tina Sams. We’ll also be playing with clays, resins, oils, and hydrosols. You’ll learn a craft that will lead you to the garden, woods, and meadows, searching for blossoms and leaves that inspire new ideas. This one is a little addictive. You’ve been warned. Each participant will make and take about a dozen herb beads.
Sat., Nov. 3 from 2-3pm

Handmade Incense
Learn the ancient craft of making hand-blended incense cones from powders of such exotic ingredients as sandalwood, frankincense, myrrh, benzoin, orris root, and various herbs and spices. You’ll learn the process, which will allow you to create incense for various purposes, that you design and create on your own. The possibilities are endless. Each participant will make and take about a dozen cones of incense. A lid from a shoebox (or something similar) to transport your creations home is all you need to bring along.
Thurs., Nov. 8 from 12-1pm

Welcome to Radiance!

Well, I thought I (Sarah) would start by writing a little bit about Radiance, the shop & studio that we have in downtown Lancaster. It's almost a year since we opened the classroom, which was the first room to be ready. Take a look! Not the best lighting in this photo, but you can get a sense of the room. We hold yoga classes in here for toddlers, kids. We're planning to get some African Dance for Kids classes started soon, so let us know if you'd be interested!! We also have Kundalini Yoga classes 3 times each week (for adults), taught by Christine Cappabianca. I try to take all three classes if I can! I absolutely love Kundalini yoga!On Monday evenings, Tahjia teaches bellydance classes for beginners & intermediates. About every other month we have a series of Tai Chi classes taught by David Haines. Marilyn Landis offers Reiki training regularly, too. And of course we have our herb classes, and classes in Reclaiming tradition. Eventually, I'll try to get the class schedule posted on this blog, but in the meantime, call us at the shop for the schedule!
