Eliana has practiced yoga since she was a toddler.  She was introduced to kundalini yoga at age 8.  She first applied kundalini yoga and mediations techniques for personal healing and growth at age 10.   It was her love and enthusiasm that planted the seed for this mother/daughter program.

Shiva Nata: Meditation for People Who Can't Get Still

Shiva Nata
Meditation for People Who Can't Get Still
Saturday, March 16, 2013, 1-3pm

Want all the benefits of meditation? Have trouble stilling your body? Or quieting your mind?

Shiva Nata is a moving meditation practice that uses simple, gentle spirals of the arms and legs to quickly and efficiently deliver a delicious state of flow. It only takes 5 minutes a day to improve your mood, gain greater mental clarity and focus, spark creative new ideas, all while strengthening your arms, shoulders, and back - which is so important in this era of keyboards.

This two-hour workshop will provide a solid foundation in the basic principles and practice of Dance of Shiva. Participants will learn enough to start a daily practice and soon be reaping the benefits of happy newborn brain cells. It's perfect for writers, artists, dancers, yoga practitioners, athletic coaches, life coaches - or anyone who wants juicy insights and laser focus.

The practice is easily adapted for those with limited physical abilities or chronic illnesses - as it can be done with little to no movement. Everyone is welcome - no yoga or meditation experience necessary!

This workshop will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St in downtown Lancaster, just across the cobblestones from historic Central Market.

Cost is $25. To register, call Radiance at 717-290-1517 or stop in. To continue this fascinating practice at home, you can pre-order Andrey Lappa's Dance of Shiva DVD - and Radiance will have it waiting for you after the workshop. This exquisite production from Pranamaya includes over four hours of practice and theory - years' worth of Shiva Nata training, from the master himself.

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1970s, Kalyani Glass was immersed in a culture of spiritual and health consciousness. Among the many influences on her upbringing, one of the most prominent was Hinduism. After many years as a witch and student of homeopathy, Shiva Nata has been like coming home. Practicing with the DVD at home since March 2010, it has provided her with improved focus, stronger shoulders, and a renewed zest for life. In January 2012, she studied with Andrey Lappa and he certified her as a Level 1 Dance of Shiva Teacher.

Scientific Radiesthesia - Advanced Energy Sciences, Part 1

Scientific Radiesthesia – Advanced Energy Sciences, Part 1
Taught by Adhi Two Owls, member of the Board of Trustees of the American Society of Dowsers

Thursday & Friday, February 14 & 15, 6-9pm at Radiance in downtown Lancaster, PA

Most people are familiar with Dowsing, or Mental Radiesthesia, with a “Y” stick, or asking questions using a pendulum. Scientific Radiesthesia differs from Mental Radiesthesia in many ways. What makes Scientific Radiesthesia superior in diagnosing is that is removes our subjective minds from the equation. There are no questions asked of the pendulum, instead, in scientific Radiesthesia the pendulum is calibrated to look for some object or piece of information.

In this class, held on two consecutive evenings, participants will learn how to use a pendulum to diagnose waveforms. This type of dowsing was developed in the 1930s and its’ use for interpreting the electromagnetic spectrum was well-documented. The founding researchers retrieved this information on invisible waves from their meticulous study of Egyptian architecture and artifacts. The ancient Egyptians designed and developed forms that condensed and emitted particular waves, and these waves gave enhancements to such practices as mummification and rituals. These focused energies are still found in certain temples in Egypt.

The study of Invisible Radiations
You will learn how to choose a pendulum, calibrate it, and to apply the technique of Radiesthesia to understanding energy qualities. We will also cover the history and development of this science. We will discuss tools to transmute toxic energies and enhance life force.

Part 2 of Advanced Energy Sciences focuses on transmutation of energies, and will be offered at Radiance in the near future.  Part 1 is a prerequisite for the second part.

Clearing the Ancestral Curse
with Adhi Two Owls

Monday, February 11, 2013, 6-8:30 pm

Sometimes referred to as Removing the Ancestral Burden, this work is one of the Core concepts of Traditional Shamanism.  All family lines have unresolved grief that becomes the burdens for future generations to carry.  These burdens can manifest as illnesses, addictions, and unhealthy behaviours, among other things. Sometimes we are aware of some of our familial burdens, and other times we are not aware.
Participants in this workshop will be taken on a shamanic journey to meet an ancestor who can guide them to the original event that set their family "curse" in motion, and to find the "cure".
Cost: $30, in advance.
Bring to class:  Your journal and a yoga mat and/or blanket to sit on.

Class will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, Lancaster, PA, across the cobblestones from Central Market.  Stop in or phone 717-290-1517 to register.

Sacred Rattle Making with Adhi Two Owls

Tuesday, February 12, 2103 from 6-9pm AND
Sunday, February 17 from 1-5pm,
at Radiance in Lancaster

In this two-part workshop participants will make a rawhide rattle from beginning to end. This workshop is for those who want to develop deeper shamanic skills and knowledge.

The first day of the workshop will cover instruction on the parts of the rattle, the materials used to create the bulb, sewing and creating of your rawhide form.  We will take several shamanic journeys to find guidance about our personal rattles.  This first portion of the rattle needs to dry, so during the week between classes, you will find your handle and materials to put in it.

When we meet again for the second day of the workshop, we will work on the actual assemblage of these parts into a working rattle. During this section of the workshop we will dedicate the rattle for its purpose, fill it, and attach the handle.

Also covered in the workshop will be ways to work with your rattle and techniques for the care of your rattle.

All the materials will be provided except the handle and whatever you will put inside your rattle.

Bring to class:  Your journal and a yoga mat and/or blanket to sit on

Class will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, Lancaster, PA, across the cobblestones from Central Market.  Stop in or phone 717-290-1517 to register.  Cost is $85.00 in advance, $95 on the day of the class.

Opening the Third Eye

Opening the Third Eye
with Adhi Two Owls

Saturday, February 16, 2013, 1-5:00 pm

“Opening the Third Eye helps to bring individuals back to the Whole… to the Holy state of being fully human.”  Adhi Two Owls

Over the centuries, there have been many attempts by oppressive forces and groups to “band” the third eye and control populations for greed and gain.  The Catholic Church was instrumental in creating an Alchemy that has had long-term and generational effects.  In this workshop, Adhi will discuss baptism as a tool for shutting down the third eye, and other Catholic rituals that reinforced this. She will explain the process that has been used to close the third eye, and shed light on who has benefitted from this process.

This workshop will focus on healing and compassion, and correcting the hurt many people have experienced.  Opening the third eye has physical as well as spiritual implications, and these will be thoroughly discussed.  In this workshop, participants will experience the opening of their own third eye, and learn the technique so that they can perform it for others.

Cost: $55, in advance.
Bring to class:  Your journal, a pendulum and a yoga mat and/or blanket to sit on.

Class will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, Lancaster, PA, across the cobblestones from Central Market.  Stop in or phone 717-290-1517 to register.
