Unarmouring the Body, Tourmaline Body Therapy Training for Massage Therapists and Energy Workers

Tourmaline Body Therapy, Level One with Mary Anderson
Approved Provider by NCBTMB

Workshops for Energy Healers and Massage Therapists

Enrich your healing practice with Tourmaline Body Therapy. This course is designed to teach the participants how to assist a client in releasing body armor. This technique is a wonderful enhancement for the practices of both energy workers and massage therapists. Theoretically, we hold past traumas (emotional, psychological, physical) and unresolved issues in our body. One physical manifestation of this phenomenon is called body armor.

The effects of this treatment include: a heightened sense of well-being (homeostasis); reduced physical pain and discomfort; released tissue held memory; enhancement of personal transformation through sensual recognition which gradually allows for long lasting healing to occur.

This Level I Workshop is a hands-on class and an introduction to core release techniques. The emphasis is on the relationship or partnership of the practitioner and client. .

Cost for Level 1 workshop: $125, 6 1/2 Continuing Education Hours available

Hatha Anusara Classes at Radiance this Autumn!

Anusara yoga is based on the belief that each person is truly an individual. The language of this style of yoga allows each student to find and develop her or his own optimum body alignment. It is especially well-suited to helping individuals learn how to walk through daily life without carrying forever the dysfunctions that cause imbalances via knees, hips, backs, shoulders, chins and more. For this reason, each Anusara-inspired class addresses a theme and develops a core pose. This playful style uses humor, props and class interactions to allow students to experience postures in new ways.

For all of these reasons, Anusara-style yoga is sequential. Each weekly lesson builds upon preceding lessons and built-up knowledge.

Friday mornings 9 to 10:30, September 25 through November 13.
Make-up Classes - Saturday mornings 9 to 10:30 a.m., once a month (or more often is required for providing makeup classes). The first Saturday class will be held September 26 and following dates will be announced.

$100 for eight-week session, paid in advance.
$55 for 4 classes
$15 per class drop-in fee.

Classes will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, Lancaster (across from Central Market). Call Radiance, 290-1517, or stop by to register.
Wear clothing without seams or belts and be prepared to be barefoot.

Roberta Strickler has been teaching Hatha Yoga in central Pennsylvania since 1995. She has been a student of Anusara since 1999. Her teaching style is challenging, thought provoking and full of fun. She holds a teaching certificate from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and is currently accepted into the certification program of Anusara Yoga.

Dream Circle - Women, Wisdom & Dreams

Women, Wisdom and Dreams
A Dream Circle with Anne Scott

Join us at Radiance for this very special evening circle as Anne Scott, the well-known author of Women, Wisdom & Dreams, guides us in exploring dreams and how they relate to our own life’s journey.

Through dialogue, silent meditation and sharing our own dreams, we will learn how we can deepen our relationship with our dream world, not only so we may understand their personal significance, but so we may use the wisdom we uncover there to help heal the world. Whether you bring a dream or not, we will all learn to work with our dreams. Anne's understanding of dreamwork brings a sense of peace to our lives and restores our relationship to the greater good.

Tuesday, September 22, 6:30 until 8:30pm, with book-signing afterward
Cost is a sliding scale: $30 to $15; you decide what you can afford.
