John Protopapas in Concert!

Radiance presents
A Concert for Nepal
John Protopapas
an intimate concert of Classical Indian music…

Friday, May 15th at 7pm .

Radiance, 9 West Grant St., Lancaster, PA.

Suggested donation $5 - $20 per person

After we had scheduled this concert, Nepal suffered a devastating earthquake.  John asked that the concert become a fundraiser, and we at Radiance agreed.  Many of the fair-trade items that we offer through our shop come from Nepal, Tibet and northern India.  And now a second earthquake has occurred.  Our hearts are breaking.  All proceeds from this concert will go to relief efforts in the areas affected by the earthquakes.

Excerpt from the essay "Passion for Music" by John Protopapas
"For many years, I had been developing ideas about music, self expression, and improvisation. What I found in Classical Indian Music was the culmination and fruition of all these ideas.
This musical system is not only spiritual, but is a complete musical system where through rigorous training, one acquires the necessary skills to go deep into one's creativity, touching on very deep elements of our human nature. It not only leads one to deep states of contemplation, but has the ability to touch on the most refined elements of sound and aesthetics."
