Bellydance Classes with Tahjia!

Wednesday evenings at 6:00
March 5 through April 9, 2014

In this age, when many people are looking to the East for the ancient remedies for health and relaxation, belly dance is often overlooked.  It is an effective exercise, a fun hobby, a great relaxation tool and a path that many women find is an excellent way to reconnect with their sacred feminine nature.  Tahjia teaches an eclectic style of dance, including techniques and moves from Vintage Cabaret, Egyptian, Turkish Romany and others.

Classes will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St. in the heart of downtown Lancaster, across from Central Market.

Wednesdays, March 5 through April 9
6:00pm Mixed Beginner & Intermediate class

$75 for a six-week session, $15 per class.  While we encourage you to sign up for the entire session, drop-ins are welcome!

Please wear loose fitting clothing and bring a long scarf to tie around your hips.

Tahjia has been professionally bellydancing since 1997. Her first dance teacher was Carolyn Weinand of Lancaster PA.  She has danced with troupes: Desert Wind; Jewels of the Nile; Troupe Hipnotique and also solo. She has studied with many teachers such as Fahteim of California; Rhea; Susanna Del Vechio; and currently with Artemis Mourat and Samira Shuruk.
Tahjia began teaching in 2006 in Lancaster. Her specialty style of dance is Vintage Cabaret which was danced in the 1970’s Arabic clubs in New York and California.
